- Highlighted Event: Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Education Seminar: It IS Easy Being Green – And It’s Smart Business: Thursday, April 23, 2015: 7:30 am – 9 am. 1 Civic Center Plaza, Suite 400, Poughkeepsie, NY. Seminar attendees will learn from a diverse group of speakers about four green topics that all businesses can apply quickly. Topics covered include: recycling, green procurement, energy efficiency for commercial and home-based businesses, and return on investment for a photovoltaic system. - Climate Smart Communities Webinar: Reducing Community Transportation Emissions: Thursday, April 9, 2015: 10:30 am – 12 pm. This webinar will examine ways communities can reduce their emissions from transportation through implementing transportation demand management (TDM) programs, traffic signal optimization, complete streets policies, providing electric vehicle charging stations and supporting and encouraging bike/pedestrian projects and car sharing programs. Alternative transportation options and operational practices that reduce VMTs will also be discussed. Agenda.
