Through community-based programs, we provide useful and accurate food, nutrition and wellness information to the residents of Dutchess County with a focus on individual and community food security. We accomplish this through education program for families, youth, individuals, professionals and communities, as well as through the facilitation of systems and environmental change in various settings. We are also known as the Nutrition Information Program (or NIP, for short) by the various families and communities in Dutchess County.

March is National Nutrition Month which was created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The attention is focused on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits. The theme for 2015 is “Bite into a Healthy Lifestyle”.
